ASOS’s swag was inspired by A$AP Rocky. I wanted to capture the essence of unassailable confidence and freedom from restriction. I wrote and recorded it much closer to the end of quarantine, so the chorus reflects the massive relief felt at the end of the mask mandates. My homies and I were listening to XXXTentacion - Gassed Up! and we joked that I could do a cover of it called “Vaxxed Up!” given the circumstances.

ASOS is all about high spirits and freedom colored by a healthy dose of cockiness.
