Daphne is based on a true story—issa real Target. I was trying to brute force my way out of social anxiety those days, so when I saw a beautiful woman in the greeting cards aisle I had to…wuss out, honestly.

But when I saw her AGAIN a minute later, it was time to shine!

I walked up, pretended to be confident, and asked what she was up to and if she wanted to hang out. She was a little sick, so I pretended she had cooties and we had a laugh, and we ended up having a great time at a concert a week or so later. Nothing crazy, but it was a moment for me so you already know I had to putitinnasong (all one word).

I tried to write about the experience PG-style, but I ended up saying “ass” twice anyway…

This girl was pressure, no cap. Career oriented, athletic, good music taste… Carti voice I fell in luv. I was grateful for the experience stepping out of my comfort zone and meeting the sort of people I wanted to meet. It’s easy to maintain limiting beliefs especially when it comes to dating, but moments in time like this remind me that you get out what you put in.
