Watch me, you watch me…

I walk like a king—
ALLOVERGREEN

I started ALLOVERGREEN as an exercise in gratitude. I had just received some DEVASTATING news, but I knew that focusing on the negative was a rabbit hole I didn’t want to go down. ALLOVERGREEN is officially a word I made up to describe that feeling of success and grace that I wore like a cloak to shield me from the bad juju.

“ALLOVERGREEN
Keepin’ my city sterling and clean
Watch me!
You watch me, I walk like a king
Body jeans fitting
Baby I like your petition”

I’m focusing on the good that I can do and the confidence stored up that I can draw on. I keep my posture straight so that people know they can’t slump me. I walk like a king.

After I got the chorus down it was pretty easy to write the rest; it’s truly a feel-good song at its core. I talk about driving around in my uncle’s whip, about dating success, and about a PARTICULARLY good night out at the club.

And I’m positively flowing the entire time.

Go check it out.
