I remember I wrote this on the drive back from my aunt’s house after Thanksgiving 2021. The chorus came quickly, but since I made up “Put a 3 on the beat,” and didn’t have a clear idea of what that would mean, the verse lyrics came a little slower. This was around the time I started experimenting with my lyrics, melodies, song structures and production. That’s Enough! is the first of a set of…I would say 4 songs that were very experimental for me. The other 3 are Alien, Bubblegum, and Disgushion. [As I write this, y’all will have no idea what those are, but you will soon ;).]

This was a loose and energetic recording session and it was nice to be a little lighter in delivery and not take the whole thing so seriously.

This is my favorite bar from That’s Enough!. First, the rhyme scheme is nuts. Second, shout-out ALLOVERGREEN. Third, I like how this rounds out the storytelling of the song. I started off apprehensive about going up and introducing myself, but now that the ball is rolling I’m wayyy past confident. I feel like a superhero who came through and saved everyone’s night. Maybe my new alias will be “The Green” like that’s my superhero name hahaha. All they wanna see is The Green, that’s enough!
